Before founding Florence May, she worked with women navigating breast cancer treatment, recovery and the physical changes that can come with it.
That experience gave her a deep understanding of how profoundly the right support can impact a woman’s comfort and confidence.
Today, women travel from across the Central West and beyond to experience her thoughtful, personalised approach to bra fitting.

Do I need to make an appointment?
Appointments are recommended (and are free of charge) if you’d like dedicated one-on-one time with Simone in the FMI Private Fit Suite. Walk-ins are always welcome during trading hours, however availability for fittings cannot be guaranteed.
I’ve never had a professional bra fitting before. What can I expect?
Every fitting begins with a conversation. We’ll discuss what’s working, what’s not, and what you’d love help with. From there, Simone will guide you through a selection of styles chosen specifically for your body, lifestyle and needs.
What sizes do you cater for?
Florence May caters for a wide range of sizes, typically from an A cup through to a K cup and 6-24 bands, depending on the brand and style. We order in sizes for you if we don’t have them in stock at the time of your fitting.
How long does a fitting take?
Most appointments take around 45-60 minutes, depending on your needs and how many styles you’d like to explore. You’re never rushed, and you’re welcome to take your time.
Do I need to know my bra size before I come?
Not at all. In fact, many women are surprised to discover they’re wearing the wrong size. That’s exactly what we’re here to help with.
Do you use a measuring tape?
At Florence May, fittings are guided primarily by fit, shape and experience. Simone assesses how each bra sits on your body and makes recommendations based on years of professional fitting experience, without relying on a tape measure.
Because every woman is different, the best fit is almost always found in the fitting room, not on a measuring tape.
Is there any obligation to purchase?
Absolutely not. Our goal is to help you understand your fit and explore suitable options. However, Florence May is a boutique retail business, and our fittings are designed to help women find solutions from our carefully curated collection rather than simply provide a size or measurement.
How often should I be fitted?
Most women benefit from a fitting every 12-18 months, or sooner if you’ve experienced changes in weight, pregnancy, menopause, surgery or simply notice your bras aren’t feeling as comfortable as they once did.
Do you offer fittings following breast surgery?
Yes. Simone is an accredited breast care fitter with extensive experience supporting women following breast cancer treatment and breast surgery. Dedicated Breast Care Fit appointments are available in the FMI Private Fit Suite.
